Ballet Master, Columbia Classical Ballet.
Columbia Classical Ballet Company is looking for a Ballet Master, who will be responsible for the planning, staging, rehearsing, and execution of the season’s scheduled performances. The Ballet Master will work in coordination with and under the supervision of the Artistic Director. Responsibilities include teaching Company class and warm-ups during the week, coordinating schedules and conducting rehearsal activities, taking performance notes and being present at all performances, compiling cast and prop lists, compiling music, and teaching choreography.
The Ballet Master is a contract employee from August-March with a minimum 30 hours a week, plus additional hours for rehearsal and performance weeks. Requirements include past experience as an accomplished principal dancer with a wide-ranging repertoire, experience in teaching professional, classically-trained dancers, knowledge of ballet history; classical, neo-classical, and contemporary repertoire. Possession of interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive and inspiring attitude is a must. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Send résumé to Susan Hare at email@example.com.
