Rie Matsuura is from Shiga, Japan and started ballet at the age of four at Jun Ballet Gakuen in Japan.  Afterwards she moved to the United States to train at the Houston Ballet Academy from 2012-2014.  Professionally, she has danced with the Orlando Ballet from 2014-2016 and the Atlanta Ballet from 2017-2018.
