SeHyun Jin, Principal Dancer at Columbia Classical Ballet, is a native of South Korea and began her ballet training at the Daejoan Art High School. She was accepted into the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. on both artistic and academic scholarships. While in Washington, D.C. SeHyun also trained at The Kennedy Center Master Class Series where she was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the National Society of Arts and Letters in recognition for her impeccable technique. Before coming to Columbia Classical Ballet, SeHyun was a member of the Milwaukee Ballet Company II. She received the Silver Medal (Professional Division) this past June at the 2015 World Ballet Competition in Orlando where she performed selections from Giselle and Sleeping Beauty. Past honors include third place at the Korean International Ballet Competition and finalist at the Seoul International Dance Competition. Her repertoire includes La Bayadere, Paquita, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Serenade, Raymonda, and Le Corsaire. Columbia Classical Ballet is happy to have SeHyun back for her fourth season.
